Through its qualified professionals, Aġenzija Appoġġ offers more than 28 social services, in the field of child abuse, domestic violence, youth with behavioural difficulties and children in care, amongst others. Appoġġ also runs the national 24-hour free phone helpline Supportline 179.

• Aġenzija Sedqa - the national agency working with persons experiencing addiction problems. This agency offers information, prevention programmes, community and residential treatment and rehabilitation services to persons with drug, alcohol, and/or gambling problems, and to their families and significant others.

• Aġenzija Sapport - the national agency providing social work and support to persons with disability and their care givers.  International and national projects beyond EU Framework Programme
The Research Department at the Foundation for Social Welfare Services is engaged in the collection, collation, analysis and reporting of data from service users from the Aġenzija Appoġġ, Aġenzija Sedqa and Aġenzija Sapport. It has conducted qualitative reviews and evaluations of programmes and services offered by these three agencies. The Foundation contributes regularly towards the development of national documents which underpin social policy in Malta. Furthermore, the Research Department has collaborated with the EMCDDA (European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction) in terms of drug-related data. It is also involved in a number of national and international research projects, such as the European School Project on Alcohol and Other Drugs (ESPAD) and a study on alcohol, tobacco and drug use amongst students in post-secondary and tertiary education.
