Brief description of your activity focus
Ive been working on transnationalism, subjectivities and onward migration among Bangladeshis in Europe

Details about Expertise / Competences / Technologies
Since 2002, Ive worked on religious and political transnationalism among Bangladeshis in Portugal. In the last years,
Ive been developing a longitudinal ethnography among Bangladeshis in Europe, focusing on onward migrations,
especially to the UK, expectations about the future and its relations with changing political economies.

My secondary project is about place making, Islam, citizenship and subjectivities among Muslims in Portugal.
