Digital archives of 3D cultural heritage models

 Details about Expertise / Competences / Technologies
Within the scope of the proposed project, the research group could provide:
- 3D scanning of monuments, sculptures and smaller objects, digitalization of 3D shape, archiving both in
terms of point clouds and compact parametric surfaces,
- Advanced 3D modeling of generic 3D shape, generation of high-fidelity models,
- Consolidation of imperfect shape data,
- Shape-related analysis and synthesis,
- 3D shape reconstruction within and across collections,
- Partial shape transfers from other objects, fitting foreign (donor) partial shapes to recipient objects with
corresponding shape adaptations,
- Feature extraction from 3D shape data as basis for algorithmic shape comparisons with other objects and
recognition of differences, similarities and styles
- Shape data transformations,
- High-fidelity 3D models as basis for further research based on advanced computational geometry and
numerical analysis of shape
